Need to replace the wear strips for the conveyor chain in the basket on our cotton picker due to the wood rotting. What is the best wood to replace it with? Best way to treat the wood? I was thinking oak and soak it down with used motor oil. Size of the strips are 1/2”x2”x10’. Thanks
