Subject: Small pickup headache rack build - questions

Oklahoma
Wanting the build a headache rack for my '96 Toyota Tacoma. 2wd, 5 lug. Just something to protect the back window, and allow me to throw long lumber and pipe, etc up there so it doesn't stick out the back as far. Doesn't have to be super heavy duty. I was given +/- 30ft of 1x1" square tube...1/8" wall. Would this be sufficiently strong for headache rack material for a small truck? Would definitely gusset corners, etc. Any thoughts welcome.

Thanks
