I'm just running some numbers. Anybody have an idea what an average tonnage per acre number would be for haying oats at milk stage or haying triticale at late boot stage? We're not usually lacking too much moisture in the spring so I would expect at least 80-90% of what you guys can get up north.
Also any idea what the dollar value/ton would be compared to alfalfa?
