Subject: Weed zapper or Lasco Lightning weeder

Has anyone had experience running these weed killing generators?

We are a parallel conventional/organic operation. With our organic soybeans, dark red kidneys, pintos, navy beans we do have inter-row weed escapes which break over the canopy after row closure. Generally speaking, not enough weeds to impede yield significantly but enough to cause concern about increasing the weed seed bank. The primary weeds are lambsquarters, redroot pigweed, common ragweed, and wild prosso millet.

Our crops are 100% pivot irrigated. Loamy sand soil with Organic Matter from 0.8% to 1.4%.

Questions:
Functional Differences between the weed zapper annihilator and the Lasco Lightning weeder?

Has anyone tried or build a crop divider to use post row closure? The beans are on 22" rows. 14.9 tires.

Any tips on pre-irrigating?

Will we able to take care of the listed weeds species? Timing?

RTK work when running?

Cost per acre? Both consumables and longevity maintenance such as belts.
