Subject: does gravel dust hurt beans?

NC Iowa
i have often wondered about it, and the thread about the windmills got thinking about it again. a large facility went up near me. 10 + semis a day most days. 100+ a day in fall. road is limestone, and does the dust ever fly. county runs the maintainer often to try to fill the washboards. that makes more powder yet. the ground and leaves get coated every day. does the lime dust stunt the plants by blocking sunlight or raising soil ph? if we have a dry spell in august, crops are well covered until it rains. was so much dust on the corn, i could hardly see to combine along the road.
