Subject: Imazapyr - OK to spray around yard trees?

SC Wisconsin
I typically use ProDeuce (glycophosphate + prodamine) to edge around my trees to make mowing easier. I went to buy a new bottle, they were out but recommended Gordon's Barrier - which is glycophosphate and Imazapyr. I bought it, but read the label before spraying and am pretty concerned that it sounds like it can be carried into the soil profile and be absorbed through tree roots. If so, I want nothing to do with it. I had a Tordon incident a few years ago while killing some honeysuckle near a windbreak, and have learned my lesson.

Is Imazapyr something you'd use around trees? I'm thinking not, but wanted to check before driving back and returning it.
