I always use Nested view.  I thought I understood how it worked.  I just saw something which confuses me. 

Is it not correct that each post should be indented one tab to the right and below the post it is a reply to? 

Look at the thread on MT starting with #51266.  My post 51724 was posted as a reply to  Jim's 51698.  That is where I posted it, but afterwards I reconsidered and was thinking I should have put it under Pokey's  51710 to keep the thread moving more smoothly, and I was contemplating what it would take to move it.  That is what prompted me to notice that in nested view, it shows up as if it were a re to 51710 but the key info at the top of the post shows it to be a re to 51698, which is how is appears if you look at a treaded view. 

My question:  do I not understand how nested works, or is there some sort of oddity going on here?
