Central Kansas | I was planting soybeans today and just happened to look down in front of the right track and here was a killdeer trying to protect her four eggs and nest. Stayed to the very last second before the track crushed the eggs. I couldn’t avoid it and if I could have stopped in time and moved them out of the way, she probably wouldn’t have looked after them. She was probably really upset! I didn’t see her on the return swath. | |
