Subject: Case 1200/ Ag Leader vs. Precision Planting

Montevideo
We run a Case 1200, 24r 22" planter. currently has an Ag leader control system. Insight monitor that controls 3 Rawson drives, and does Pop monitoring and section control through tru-count air clutches. Trying to strategize for the future and eventually want to add electric drives, Hyd. downforce, and a starter fert system. My question is: Do we keep the Ag Leader system and just add in the components or scrap the whole ag leader system and upgrade to vset, vdrive, deltaforce, etc. I like the Case meter and we will be doing the dakota precison updates to them, and I realize I would need to upgrade the Insight to an Incommand 1200 to control the desired functions. I can't seem to rationalize scrapping the completely functional Ag Leader system, especially if I can use the components I already have and just add in what I want as I can afford it. Anyone done this or have a strong opinion one way or another? Fire away.
