Subject: Air Bag Bracket Chain Clearance and Lift Springs

SCMN
I'm putting on some used bags and brackets on a 1770NT planter with chain drive and Ag Leader Surestop clutches. When the row unit is at its lowest point (planter lifted) the chain just touches the bottom of the air bag bracket. This should not be a problem since the chain will never be moving with the planter lifted. I guess I'm just looking for some reassurance that this is OK. Or would you grind some off the bracket? 1/8 to 1/4" would do it.

Second question, anyone running down bags and side springs for lift? Is that an approved conbo? One spring on each side?
