Subject: 2014 Duramax starting in cold weather. How to diagnose intake heater or glow plug problems?

nc ks
My 2014 duramax starts great at 40 degrees plus. Cranks a little bit at 30 degrees. Probably won't start at 15 degrees or below. I assume my glow plugs or intake heater isn't working. THe little coil light comes on and disappears but doesn't appear to be doing anything. What are my steps to track down this problem?
