Subject: Much Ado about Fertilizer Prices

Canmore Ab. Canada
Just a few thoughts about fertilizer prices. Take them or leave them. No offence please...

If some of the prices I see posted here are real and product available... why do we not see more guys buying? A few questions and comments.

It appears when markets become news headlines it is about time for a reversal???
If farmers lock their bins when prices rise, do they lock up their check books when inputs fall???
What are the odds $300 urea will rise??? Will fall??? If so how much???

We don't need to buy everything at once, we don't need to hit the absolute lowest price. We do need to hedge some of the risk. I think...

One marketing instructor I heard said, Sell for a profit and just tell the guys at the coffee shop you hit the peak.

I guess I just see alot of farmers here who saw $15-$17 canola come and go... because it was going to $20... Now it is $8-9. It's painfull.

Could the talk here in 4 months be how we saw $300 urea but now it is back to $800 or $1000???

Then again I'm probably all wet. These ideas come with NO money back guarantee. Dan...
