Subject: help with ph of in furrow products

Marion, Ohio
Yesterday I was acting as a chemist and accidentally stumbled upon a certain component that would raise the ph of my in furrow mix. My ph was 7-7.1 before adding the last part. Once I mixed in the last ingredient the ph went right up to 8.1. I replicated this twice to make sure it wasnt a fluke. So my question is, should I be readjusting my ph back down to 7? Can you have too high of a ph and damage the seed or render some nutrients in the fertilizer useless for the seedling?
