Paxton, IL | Just finished building a new house this past summer. One of my first projects I want to get done is sealing the basement floor. I’m not a concrete guy by any means and don’t have much experience in this area.
Looking around, I see as many different products as you could dream up. What would be a good product to use in this case? Basement floor is roughly 2500 sq ft. I’m primarily wanting something that is easy to apply and to control the dust from unsealed concrete and probably water proof as well. Being a house basement, I’m not too concerned with any spills or staining like on a shop floor.
The basement may get partially finished out at some point, but don’t have any plans for that in the near future. So I’d like the finished product to look decent and don’t want it to end up too glossy or slippery.
