West Central Indiana | Looked at a used 2012 1770NT 24 row planter today. Equipped close to how I would want except it was mechanical ground drive. Not a total deal breaker but I have plenty of chains on my current planter and would rather have hydraulic drive to eliminate a drive tire/seed transmission/bearings/chains, and be able to prime the seed disc when I loose vacuum. I have 2 JD hydraulic drive motors that came off a DB60 that I was going to put on my Kinze but never got around to. Can anyone tell me what all is needed to do this? I know I would need to run hydraulic hoses...but is there software/brain box/rate controller/additional wiring I would have to do as well? May not even be feasible, just wondered if someone has done this before.
Thanks for any help! | |
