73036 | If i look at a grain moisture equilibrium chart, wouldn't it be equivalent to the moisture of the grain out in the field? This is assuming the crop is completely mature, such as a couple of weeks after a freeze. And the humidity an temperature have been stable for a couple of hours. At this time, i'm harvesting milo, so the grain is small, an open to the weather, so i'm thinking that by looking a the equilibrium chart, I should be able to determine what the moisture of the grain is out in the field. Making it easier to determine when the grain is dry enough to harvest. Is this right or wrong? I have a corn equilibrium chart, but suppose it is not far off for milo? | |
