Subject: would like to make sweet rolls in my breadmaker.

East central Iowa

Mom use to take dough, roll it out into long ropes sort of and then wrap it around like a snake coiled up.  She baked these and then put a simple frosting on them.  Probably powdered sugar, a little vanilla and milk.

I make bread in a breadmaker using the following recipe that everybody really likes.  It's simple, easy and quick to make.  I wonder if I could just make a dough in the breadmaker using this recipe and then do as mom used to do.  Or would the bread not be sweet enough?

My wife thinks I could sprinkle brown sugar and cinnamon on the rolls before baking.  Then when they come out frost them as mom did and they'd be fine.

I did remember that mom made biscuits that were white and her sweet rolls had a yellow tinge so it couldn't have been the same dough.

4 cups flour
2 heaping tablespoons  sugar
2 1/2  tablespoons butter
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
12 ounces water at 85 to 90 degrees,  I use a thermometer
1 packet of dry Fleischmann's yeast
