| Roadside survey was down hard. The nesting period was a bust due to the drought. The hens rely on dew to wet their feathers, then the moisture migrates through to the eggs. No dew, the eggs don't hatch. Anybody in the Gettysburg, Hoven area care to give a combine windshield report on what you are seeing first hand? Hoping our habitat and food plots provided a good carryover from last year. Sure saw a lot of birds this spring when I was out there planting. Haven't made it back since.
