Folks ( Globally ) PREFER BEEF.
It IS That darn simple now.
Restaurant surveys indicate smaller plates ( thus the beef looks larger on the plate ), AND a LOT more requests thus more restaurant offerings of Beef on the menus now ( btw...it's Globally )
In store beef ( low end hamburger and slow broast cuts..USA ) indicate the USA consumers, Fully indicate that good hamburger Now at $4.25 per lb retail is a good buy.
They also fully expect BEEF to go higher, with good hamburger to the $6 to $6.25 per lb range.
( afore works out to fully $50cwt Higher cash cull cows and bulls..ie non feds in the usa, btw )
I would expect the Fat cattle run up to be extended now:
SAY, $220 to $225 cwt live Cash fats by bout Feb 10th, 2015.
( let's just keep on rockin on in the free global beef market...MO )
( say MAYBE ...270 to $285 cwt will hold the Bottom side of Fat cattle prices by 1 year from Now...and maybe not too).
Fat cattle USA could Easily be in the $320 to $380 cwt live Cash range too by the fall of 2015.
It might be best to Split your Deal:
Say BEEF production as it's Own enterprise AND likely thee main Profit center ( capitalized and banked etc ).
There's really No way to own the Land and the cattle together ( it's Easy to own em supposedly seperate though ).
land and crops are 1 thing,
cattle are another. MO
Going to be a lot of Nov P2 cows in the $2,800 to $4,800 price range ( especially in the Northern Country ).
heck that's cheap...in 5 years just add bout $10k per cow to the afore.
