I bought a set of ceramic steak knives. 

They cut steak so much better than any steak knife I've ever had and they are never going to rust or look bad.  Most impressive was the way they cut meat.  I had a very rare piece of steak that the regular steak knives kind of sawed on, moving the meat back and forth.  I took the ceramic knife and made one slicing cut, it was through and done.

Say what you will about dishwashers, high priced steak knives etc.  I'm doubly happy with these and something else that's important to me, my wifes happy with them.
