Subject: Water iron filter

Paxton, IL
In the final stages of building a new house. We're on well water out here. In general water quality is good, but we have a lot of iron which leaves rust stains in toilets and tubs. if you looks in the toilet tank or inside any plumbing, we have the rust colored slime over everything. This is after our standard water softener treatment.

we'd like the new house to have some form of iron filter in addition to a softener. But I question whether any system out there will completely solve the problem or if I'm just spending a lot of money for something that is only marginally better. Does anyone have a system like this that actually works or experience they'd like to share?
