Michigan | We had a BBQ at our home on Fathers Day. A few family members brought there dogs along to play in the back yard. The kids were playing fetch through out the day with them. My 12 year old son decided to make it more challenging by hitting the ball with a baseball bat to make the ball go farther than he could throw it . On his first attempt he toss the ball up in the air and swung the bat, at the very instant he let go of the ball my nephews black lab jumped in the air to catch it when he did that the dog was clubbed in the jaw with the bat, a horrible accident. The dog was rushed to a emergency vet clinic and has had numerous surgeries to fix a broken jaw and teeth issues. I called my insurance company to see if anything could be done to help with the vet bills, I'm waiting to hear back. Anyone know if my homeowners would cover such a tragic freak accident? TIA
