West of Broken Bow | While looking at an odd shaped metal barrel /drum in Montana, I asked the older man who owned it what it had been used for. He said it was what gasoline was delivered in to farms and ranches when he had a fuel delivery job in his younger years. I recall a past thread on here mentioning these barrels, but I had never seen a barrel that is tapered like that. It's wider in the middle.
Did these type barrels all have similar/standard shapes or was there a variety?
It wasn't rusty despite being stored outside for decades. No paint was left on the exterior. I should have examined it closer for info that may have been stamped on. Just thought it was pretty neat to see.
