Marengo, Ia. | Planted corn into 1' tall rye on Saturday. Planted great!(my opinion) Very mellow.
Shark tooth row cleaners, double disk openers only and factory closing wheels.
No problem planting 2 1/2-3" deep. Not even maxed out on down pressure.
95 units of NH3 on April 10. Sprayed burn down yesterday, 10 gl 32%, 5gl water, 44oz R-up, 3 oz balance flex.
This farm is notorious for being wet, and when I sprayed burn down on my other rye fields there was 1-2" of rain in the forecast. Never happened.
This is right next to a state highway so I can't sleep at night imagining the things that can go wrong.....
