| I am looking to add an autosteer setup to my Deere 4440 to be used for planting soybeans. I am pretty much at the low end on the learning curve for precision technology. I have talked to some dealers and priced some systems thus far the Outback STX with eDrive XD and hydraulic integrated steering for a turnkey price of $5200 has garnered my attention as possibly the best way for me to go. Any thoughts as to whether there is a system out there that may better fit my needs at a similar price point??? (possibly some configuration of a Trimble EZ Pilot??) Also I would greatly appreciate any feedback from anyone running an Outback eDrive XD on WAAS as to what you found the predominant pass to pass accuracy to be. I appreciate anyone sharing their thoughts on what the best configuration would be. One thing to keep in mind is that I only plant approximately 600 acres annually about 1/2 straight rows and 1/2 on the contour. | |
