Subject: John Deere tractor Water in Fuel sensor

Manitoba, Canada
I have a 9320 that started to throw code: ECU 76. It says in the book that the water in fuel sensor is out of voltage. I have been tracing wires and testing sensor. No luck finding the problem. One of the wires has 5Volts, the other wire has 0 resistance to the tractor frame. I cant seem to get any continuity out of the sensor, might try and replace it just to eliminate options. Anyone have this problem before on any JD tractors or combines before? I have been looking through the wires at the back of the cab but cant find the same orange wire that should carry the resisted voltage back (383B or G?)
