Any thoughts on a good HD tow strap (proper nomenclature = recovery strap?) to keep around for tractors/semis/combines? Looks like an 8" strap would pull about 78,000lb. That might be heavy enough? I see that some sellers don't rate the horizontal pull, but give a sling load rating. That same 78,000# strap will sling vertically about 12,500# in a single configuration. Anyone have a favorite supplier? Does this product seem in line? Looking at the 8" x 30' model. Looks like 30' is about max offered by others also. http://www.truckntow.com/pc-10721-147050-8-heavy-duty-vehicle-recovery-straps.aspx I assume that one wants to use a good clevis to pull them so it doesn't tear the nylon strap?
