Subject: Foliar feeding soybeans?

NW IOWA
Heard of using sugar at 1 lb./acre for feeding soybeans. Have any of you guys used sugar and if so when and how did you apply it? Can you spray it with RR application or do you need to use different nozzles to do better job? What other products has anyone used for foliar feeding soybeans? Looking to boost short and late planted beans and to help retain more pods (less aborting) on short beans.
Was on a guys farm near Ventura, Ia. some years back who has been doing this to soys but can't remember his name. Remember he was using a lot of foliars of the ortho type. Any info appreciated!!
