| Ok, I have a field with a 5 inch(Inside diameter) clay tile that runs only about 16 inches deep, measured from the top of the tile to the surface. It runs maybe 1200ft and probably has some smaller tile running into it but I am not sure. It is broke near the exit end and completely plugged with mud upstream. Instead of putting a jetter to it, I will just replace with some plastic and the backhoe. The field is a mess and doing something is better than nothing.
My question, do I put in 6 inch plastic in case there are some branches upstream or save some money and use 4 inch? Since the tile will be quite shallow, will the 4" be better since it is 2" deeper from the surface than 6", for getting crushed?
