Ontario Canada | My uncle has a 4430 with a weak hydraulic pump , today it got to the point where it couldn't operate his round baler anymore. He knew about the problem previously and already got a quote from the dealer to replace it. Quoted $4000 for a new pump plus labour ect from local dealer. I was thinking I could tackle that job for him and do cheaper. A new hydraulic pump from Abilene machine for $1200, I know front axle or radiator has to come out to get at it, maybe new coupler. Is there anything else I should know about to do this job? Or is the dealers quote reasonable and I should let them do it. My day job is a truck mechanic I'm sure I could tackle this though. | |
