Subject: raven auto rate question

SWOH
i hear a lot about sprayer calibration but i've never done it. on all our sprayers we use raven 440 and 460 monitors and you punch in the rate you want and it stays constant. do you really need to calibrate the sprayer when doing this? or does the flow meter compinsate for any bad tips or other problems. i change tips every 2 years and put no more then 2000 acres a year on them plus have the local coop check them each year. i watch them while spraying and if the pattern is off on one i change it. plus we have front mount booms so i can see everything pretty good if one is plugged up. should i calibrate it? and how often?
