Subject: Before winter preparation pictures

north-central Indiana west of Fulton

Difficult harvest ended a week and a half ago and have been cleaning and putting all that equipment away since. Always try and get combine gone over so it is put away ready to go .Needed all gear box oils changed and new feeder house chain. While waiting to go and get chain ....needed to clean and service spreader and up grade to winter tractor. Found a buildup of straw and net wrap on auger....took 3 trips inside spreader to get it all off. Had to use my custom manure spreader cleaning tool made from a chopper knife to remove. Seems I always am stuck with the.........we all know what those jobs are called ! Put a fresh coat of used hydraulic oil "paint" on the manure spreader so it's ready for winter.
