N.C. Iowa | Have a field of alfalfa that we cut for my cousin Saturday with plans on chopping. Yesterday was a good drying day, but did not get quite a dry as I would like to put in a bag. Talking a good chance of rain Tuesday, not much drying today I am guessing. I guess my biggest concern is most of it will be sheep feed, and not sure about how perfect it has to be. I have chopped it a lot wetter for cattle and blended it out with dry hay and cornsilage. Just don't want to kill the sheep. If it were mine I would chop it and not worry, but the sheep concern me. What would you do? |
