Subject: The last couple of days (pics)

north-central Indiana west of Fulton
Got the last of the "dry" grass hay cut yesterday and baled a few more not so dry bales we will feed to dry cows. All the resent rain has made the grass around fields take off again so rotary mowing needs to be attended when time allows. The last few acres of canary grass in the the low muck would make nice hay this time... but a big storm went through last night and gave us about 2 " with bad wind. Will see first of week if we can get on ground. Looked around a little this morning for down corn and it didn't look too bad but can 't see it all. Need the weather to give us a break, 4th alfalfa needs cut to go in silo and then corn silage to follow. Slow going the last two weeks . Checked new planted alfalfa after 18 days this morning. Was told on Crop talk a drill was the "worst" way to plant it....but wasn't told the best way...maybe someone here will tell me !
