I put up a few pictures a week or two ago of our Rhine River cruise. Texas Papaw asked for a few more pix, so thought I'd oblige if I could. It was a great trip....would do it again in a heartbeat!

 

Windmill in Kinderdijk, Netherlands. The family that operated this in the 1800s raised 12 kids in that tiny space!

We couldn't believe how steep most of the vineyards were.....nearly all of them were hands-only maintenance--planting, pruning, spraying, harvesting.
Legs and back would be soooo sore at the end of the day, I'd think.

WW I and WW II memorial in Ostheim France. Originally had been a church, destroyed in WW I, rebuilt, then destroyed again in WW II. That's a stork nest on top. 


 

Altar in the Abbey of St Peter in the Black Forest. Amazing little church.
