West Texas

The small town of Big Spring, TX has built a reclamation plant to fight the water shortage of the past few years. They now process sewer water and blend it in with lake water that is the source of the municipal water system.

A local resident and his wife were on a camping trip and he posted the following on a social media.

It is said that John Chisum’s cowboys carried shakers of salt, so that when ranging outside of the salty brine drainage of the Upper Middle Brazos, their home country, they could make their water taste as they were accustomed too. When at Sonic in Pecos Texas at the start of a road trip, Toni exited the truck en route for the bed with our drinks in hand. When I saw her pulling the cover off of the portable toilet, I inquired as to what she was doing, and she said that she was trying to make our Dr. Pepper taste more like she was accustomed to back home……
