| Would there be any interest in a portable trailer hopper opener? Ideally, it would be DC powered with plug in / mounting modules wired into the trailer. The unit would weight about 15 pounds. The user would "plug" the unit into the power source and bracket which would provide power to the unit and hold the unit in place. The unit would turn the shaft of the gate to open the gate.
There are obvious challenges with the various types of trailers, etc..., but I think these can be overcome. I'm just curious whether anyone would buy one. The unit would cost around $1,500 and the power modules would be about $200 per trailer. The unit itself could be used on multiple trailers if we can standardize the mounting mechanism. | |
