n.c. iowa | Thinking of starting a llc or other option. Currently farm with brother who work full time in town. We farm ground we own together an ground I rent. Some of the land I rent belongs to our father. For the last 20 years with the own ground and rented from DAD and others we been able to make it a 70/30 split. We would split expenses 70/30 then come fall just split crops 70/30. Now DAD passed away last January so we inherited his property 50/50. Now the acres won't work to split that way.I also own 70%of the machinery. Was wondering if we split expenses and all acres 50/50/ what would a fair split of the crop be for me working full time on farm and him working full time in town and on the farm after work and weekends. Looking for ideas from someone else in some type of same situation. | |
