Subject: be very careful with hobbies

East central Iowa

You have to be careful with your hobbies in America.  If you are good at something and word gets out the next thing you know people are coming to you to fix or build or whatever it is you do.

Below ISUAGR664 thought of going into business cutting grass and yard maintenance.  One person advised him to forget it because others are doing it.  I guess that means don't start doing anything that anybody else is already doing.

My brother in law moved to Georgia and while the area was saturated with people doing interior wood work that's what he started doing.  Soon because he is very good at what he does and better than what was being done he was inundated with work.

If you are good at something and like doing it you can probably make a living doing it and if you're real good you probably will make a real good living doing what you love.
