Sw MN | Ed Winkels post and the one on embryo transfers made me think about something I read on the internet this winter.
The World Dairy Expo in Wisconsin is considered by many to be the premier dairy show in the world. The 2013 Red & White Holstein show's Grand Champion was a clone of the Reserve Grand Champion, and the 3rd place cow is a daughter of the reserve champion. Absolute peas in a pod, just at different ages.
On a side note I also read someone from Great Britian bought a clone in the US and exported her to GB only to get into trouble because GB hadn't approved the sale of milk from clones. | |
