I understand the desire for you High Plains folks to find someplace warm to visit in the winter. I am curious how many are like me and head to the cold regions of winter to enjoy snow sports. This year will be skiing and snowmobiling in Whitefish Mt. Some years have been winter camping. Nothing like waking up with your tent roof on your face from the snow load. Or digging a cave to sleep in. A good stew never taste better.
  Last year we went to the ice rink for some am skating and found a Wounded Warriors group playing ice hockey. They were strapped into 3 blade carts. The stick was designed to also use like a paddle to move with.  They were a riot to watch. Laughing, flipping, and crashing into each other. Got to visit a bit. Some said it was the most fun they had since getting home. Led to me making a donation to the group. The resort never said boo about the group, But the WWs told us that Sun Valley Resorts picked up the tab for the week.
