Subject: Detroit Series 60, lots of white smoke & burning oil

Dagmar, MT
Have a 2000 Pete with Detroit set at 500 that I bought at a T&M sale years ago 1,000,000+ miles. It ran good for a few years but last time we drove it, started burning oil like crazy and blowing a lot of white smoke. You would assume the truck was on fire from a distance, I wasn't driving it but supposedly still good power & not running rough. Coolant level is fine, none in the oil. Outlet side of turbo isn't dirty looking inside, that's as far as I am now. It's a decent truck yet if not too much $$$ needed. Thanks, Cory.
