WASHINGTON, Jan 8 (Reuters) - Private exporters reported the sale of 115,000 tonnes of U.S. soybeans to China for the 2013/14 marketing year, which began on Sept. 1, the U.S. Agriculture Department said on Wednesday.
The sale was the second to China - the world's largest soybean importer - announced by USDA this week, on the heels of 350,000 tonnes reported on Tuesday.
By law, exporters must report promptly the sale of 100,000 tonnes or more of a commodity to the same destination in one day. Sales of smaller amounts are reported on a weekly basis. (Reporting by Ros Krasny)
