Subject: What's it Worth? 8950

WI
Seen a few of these listed with higher hours and Reman motors on auctions in the midwest last year but never got a chance to see them in person. Neighbors looking to sell out before end of year to retire and might put on auction or sell before that. He has a 98' Case 8950 with 7500 original hours and the motor had a complete Case Dealer Reman about 50 hours ago last April with verifiable receipts. It seems to have a lot of power and shifts very smooth with no abnormal tranny noise or other noticable problems. Complete fluids and filter change less than 10hrs. ago. Good A/C-Heat, 3 Hyd, Extended capacity fuel tank (30gal.?) Large 1000 PTO, Continental 18.4Rx46 inner & axle duals all at 70% and 30% 16.9x30s up front. Tires are cracking some from age but should last another 5+ years. No leaks. Drawbar shows little wear as it was mainly used on a forage bagger and hammer mill by the current owner. Previous dairy farmer bought it new and used it on a 7K gal. manure tanker and 8bt. plow for 3000hrs. before trading it to local dealer. Both linkage arms and pins on the 3pt are missing as they were stolen from it several years ago but the lift assist cylinders, controller and everything else is in place but showing error codes. Current owner said he never used 3pt. Also, it does not have any front or rear weights but he does have an OEM weight bracket (holds 18) from a 7240 2wd he is willing to sell with it. He put the OEM weight bracket that held 22front weights on the 7240 2wd that was a mixer tractor because he needed more weight up front and already sold it. Overall, it appears to be in very good condition with a new dupont paint job done on the red parts recently by a professional auto body shop. Black parts and rims were repainted but don't look as great up close since it was done by a less experienced painter....some paint runs, but ok for a tractor. Most of the lower inside cab interior was removed due to wear, surfaces cleaned and coated with chassis saver and then his nephew (who works at a metal fabrication factory) fabricated aluminum diamond plate removable panels with foam backing to replace a lot of the interior parts. Said this was cheaper, easy to clean and more durable than the OEM cab kits. Original headliner is still in good shape and was not covered. I'm curious what this might be worth privatly or possibly on auction.
