SC Nebraska | I rent a pasture from dad on our operation. He put a new fence in on the pasture (approx 100 acres, around 2 miles of fence) this year. I pay him what we consider a fair market value rent for our area. I know I should pay him more now, because the old fence was a disaster. It has saved me lots of time in both fence fixing and putting cows in, not to mention possible crop damages when the cows are out. So, the question is, how much more should I pay him per acre? Should I figure it off some sort of percentage? He won't tell me a price, just says I want to be fair. Any ideas are appreciated. | |
