Adelaide Hills, South Australia | I got bored following the cows so here are some pics of bringing the cows in and crossing the road yesterday arvo. I managed to get a pic of my dog atually working! We have had rain almost every day for a week and at the end of our winter it's wet. It is good heading towards spring with wet ground. It is hard to find somewhere for the cows to graze without pugging up the pasture.
There are pine chips spread onto the laneways for the cows to walk on. It prevents lameness and helps them walk faster.
Around here nobody ever buys a used quad from a dairyfarm. By the time the cow smell is gone the frame is rusted out apparently.
The dog thought our workers car was a ute and tried to jump on for a ride. I could see she was going to do it and the more I yelled the faster she ran towards the car.
Please ask any questions you have.
