Subject: MORNING HEADLINE 5:00am: North and Eastern corn belt states in the 30's

Kansas City
I continue to read report after report regarding the implications of and early "killing" US frost. No one can obviously guarantee such an event, but the odds of a major "frost" type wild-card coming out of the deck seems to be escalating by the day. The biggest question is how much damage will the crops sustain when and if it happens? I have heard numbers ranging all over the place, with most guesstimates being that about 5-10% of the corn could be in some type of jeopardy, and upwards to 15-20% of the soybeans in jeopardy of some type of yield reduction.
