Subject: GPS on scraper

East Central Alberta

Would like to know if anyone has some form of gps on a scraper. ie:gps mounted on the scraper for manual or automatic control.

I would really like to set the scraper on the ground at one end of a ditch run,go to the other end of the ditch run,and have the machine calculate the required slope between the two points. And then go ditching, either by manual indication on a light bar,or possibly automatic control. The ditch wouldn't have to be straight or anything since you would predrive the path,(thus the machine would know the travelled distance between the two points)and therefore calculate the slope/ft travelled. With the path of the ditch logged in, the required height for any given point on the path could be calculated and controlled by the machine.

Sorry for being long winded, but was wondering if anyone has something like this on ag equipment,or knows of such a thing on ag.

PS. have GS2 and JD receivers now.
