Everyone sets personal goals from time to time. Last fall after gaining considerable weight while getting over 2 shoulder surgeries I set a goal to loose the weight and get back in shape and run the 5k at our local church picnic. Well I lost 55 lbs, got back in shape and ran the 5k this weekend and did great. One more goal for the year is a 65 mile bike ride in Sept and that will be the easiest too do and hardest to schedule but I will try.
All that said I stayed in good shape for many years and I think it is a lot easier for someone who had been in good shape to get back in shape than it is for someone who never worked at being in shape to get in shape. If you are a young person pay attention to your body it will serve you well. I am 62 and happy I did.
