SEON | Usually I drill a 70/30 alfalfa mix after I take me wheat crop off in July but this past spring I tried something a little different and I'd like to know if anyone else has seen this. I worked the ground in the fall and then I frost seeded barley in March then broadcasted 7lbs single cut clover and 7 lbs alfalfa onto the frozen ground. I have never had such a good stand of alfalfa. Very stout and weed free and it is higher than the barley. Could have cut in early july but I wand the barley for grain.
